RoadBond® Li is a naturally derived biopolymer dust suppressant sourced from the wood pulping industry. Applied as a liquid, it dries to bond loose particles, preventing dust lift-off and maintaining the road base. Its adhesive properties stop fugitive dust emissions and help stabilise and compact the road base over time. At lower dosages, it acts as a dust suppressant; at higher dosages, its stabilisation effect becomes apparent. Produced using a mild process, RoadBond® Li has a neutral pH close to 7, making any minor corrosive issues associated with lignosulfonates virtually non-existent. Environmentally sound and with low impact on infrastructure, RoadBond® Li is an economical and effective tool to combat dust.

How RoadBond® Li Works

Treated

RoadBond® Li provides a long lasting barrier, binding fine soil particles together resulting in a reworkable dust-free layer. The treated area is ready for use with no curing time necessary.

Untreated

Haul roads are prone to generating dust due to wind erosion and vehicular traffic, especially in dry climates. Over time, the surface becomes less stable and poses adverse mechanical, environmental and health concerns.
